Martha L. Hensley, age 76, of Linton, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born in Sullivan, IN on November 13, 1946, the daughter of Herbert & Louise (Cox) Secrest.

She was a graduate of Dugger High School. She worked as an assistant teacher for Head Start for several years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary in Linton as well as a former member of the Moose Lodge #1434. She loved camping, doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving children, Tina (Hank) Gallagher of Linton and Chuck (Holly) Hadley of Farmersburg; grandchildren, Joshua (Cassie) Pope, Tyler (Britnee) Pope and Catlin (Dean Dix) Adams; great grandchildren, Gannon Pope, Kynslee Pope, Avery Curtis, Hadley Pope and Brinley Adams; siblings, Billy (Dianna) Secrest, Marilyn Hadley, Wilma Harrington, George Secrest, Fred Secrest, Joe (Dee) Secrest, Gloria Secrest and Donald Hadley; aunt and uncle, Raymond (Shirley) Secrest as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl E. Hensley and brothers, Commodore Secrest and Chester Wayne Secrest.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland .

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 pm, and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
