Martha L Fields, age 84, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 3:31 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Greene County General Hospital. She was born in Sandborn, Indiana on May 21, 1933, the daughter of the late James Hughes and Alice (Dixon) Hughes.

Martha was a graduate of Marco High School. She enjoys Notre Dame Football, IU Basketball and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball. She worked as a cashier at Red & White for 21 years. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Steve (Monique) Fields of Greencastle, Tim (Teresa) Fields of Gales Ferry, CT , Mark (Janis) Fields of Ledyard, CT, Susan (Ted) Monier of Linton and Jason (Lindsay) Fields of Linton; grandchildren, Kelley (Harrylouis)Rodriguez, Jeremy (Kim) Fields, Joey Fields, Rachel Fields, Jackson Fields and Jamison Fields; great grandchildren, Victoria, Gabriel and Ella Rodriguez and Aubree Fields; sisters, Doris Hartman of Indianapolis and Mary Fields of Floyds Knobs, IN.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard "Dick" Fields, five sisters and three brothers.

Privates services will be observed by the family.
