Marlene Kay (DeHart) Miller
/Marlene Kay (DeHart) Miller, 80, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 3:45 P.M. Saturday, December 12, 2020 in Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus in Terre Haute, IN. She was born August 20, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN to Dale DeHart and Sarah (Martin) DeHart.
Marlene married Kenneth L. Miller on March 20, 1971, Kenneth passed away August 18, 2010.
Survivors include her children, Amanda Sevier (Erin) of Jasonville, IN, Melissa Lowe of Terre Haute, IN, Malinda Miller (Jason Chuley) of Lewis, IN; grandchildren, Jacob Sevier, Grace Lowe, Kenneth Lowe, Adeline Miller, Natalie Miller, Miranda Miller; brother, Donald DeHart (Dorothy) of Greenwood, IN; twin sister, Charlene Chadd of MO.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family of Marlene Miller would like to extend a heart felt thanks to the administration and staff of Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus for the exceptional love and care given to Marlene while she was there, with special recognition to Reagan Fougerousse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, Betty Lou Eldridge, Gwendolyn Warfield, Joseph DeHart, Chester DeHart, Adeline Lair and Edna Warren Moran.
Marlene graduated from Ben Davis High School Class of 1960. She was a loving and devoted homemaker and caregiver. She was an active member of Friendly Grove Baptist Church working in the Missionary Circle, taught vacation bible school and Sunday school. Marlene loved to crochet, work in the garden and spending time with her grandkids. She loved animals and every stray became her pet. Marlene fell in Love with Jesus when she was invited to attend vacation bible school, she asked Jesus into her life and she was never the same. She passed that along to her family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Due to the Pandemic there will be Private Services at Noon Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Funeral Home with Pastor David Smith officiating.
Interment will be at Friendly Grove Cemetery in Lewis, IN.
