Marcella M. (Flynn) Blanton, 88, of Worthington, went to be with the Lord, at 9:00 PM, at her residence, surrounded by family on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Marcella was born in Daviess County, Indiana on May 13, 1933 to Hugh Armstead Flynn and Trula Alice (Sheets) Flynn.

Marcella married the love of her life, Marion Blanton, Jr. on April 23, 1950 and together they raised a wonderful, loving family. Marcella was a longtime member of the Lincoln Christian Church where she once taught Sunday School. She was an excellent cook with many talents, and her life was all about spending time with and loving her family.

Marcella is survived by her husband, children, Terry (Mary) Blanton, Norman Blanton, Sandie (Doug) White, Lavon Blanton (Tracy Akers), grandchildren, Candi Blanton, Brian (Jennifer) Blanton, Kristen (Mike) Saladin, Laura (Jared) Fox, seven great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws, Patty Flynn, Phyllis Flynn and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, sibings, Joyce Burgess, John Flynn, Delbert Flynn, and brother-in-law, Vernon Burgess.

A private funeral will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marcella’s memory to the charity of ones choice.
