Loretta Mae Kluesner
/Loretta Mae Kluesner, age 86, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 5:40 P.M. on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Glenburn Home in Linton. She was born in Pleasantville, Indiana on February 22, 1936, the daughter of Hallie and Belva Mae (Padgett) Wright.
Loretta married the love of her life, James “Jim” Kluesner on Feb. 12, 1954, and they were married 50 years at the time of his passing in 2004. She graduated from Linton-Stockton High School later that year. In early years, she worked at Form Fit in Jasonville as a seamstress, working across the street from Ronnie Luxton”s Welding Shop where her husband Jim worked, and they shared rides. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, and later worked as caregiver for Dr. Ben Raney and his family.
She raised her children in the Linton Assembly of God Church and later was a member of Linton First Christian Church. She enjoyed attending Faith Community Church with her daughter Meleah. She was a former president and very active in Linton Ladies Civitan.
Loretta and her family played in Tropic Winds Steel Drum Band, playing at many local events. She enjoyed working in the yard and gardening, baking and cooking, loved animals, traveling to Sarasota, FL and collecting sea shells along the beach. She always loved spending time with all of her family.
She is survived by her son, Tony Kluesner of Linton; two daughters, Meleah (Bill) Keller and Tish (David) Millick, both of Linton; six grandchildren, Lori (Bart) Wade of Linton, Jared (Misty) Kluesner of Boulder Creek, California, Josh Keller of Linton, Jessica (Chris) Taylor of Linton, Ethan Millick of Linton, and Madison Millick of Evansville; and seven great-grandchildren, Drew, Bennett, Lincoln, Alexa, Zander, Piper, and Liam.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Hubert Wright; three sisters, Clotene Hardesty, Wanda McCullough, and Emma Lou Cunningham; and her daughter-in-law, Donna Kluesner.
Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, with Pastor Shawn Farris officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Pleasantville Cemetery.
