Lola Faye Dayhoff, 93, passed away, with loved ones at her side, on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at her home near Worthington. She was born on November 12, 1926 in Lawrenceville, Illinois to Clarence and Martha (Hart) Bovenschen.

Lola married her loving husband, Francis Dayhoff, on March 10, 1946.

Lola was a member of the Lincoln Christian Church and Sew-sigh-et-tea Homemakers Club. She was a graduate of the Switz City High School Class of 45. She was a farmers’ wife, loving mother, caregiver, homemaker and worked in the school cafeteria at Central High School. Lola loved to make quilts for her family and quilting for other people.

Family left to cherish the memory of Lola includes: three sons, Ray (Debbie) Dayhoff of Worthington, Jerry (Sherrie) Dayhoff of Noblesville and Bruce (Melissa) Dayhoff of Linton; one daughter, Linda (Stephen) Campbell of Worthington; seven grandchildren, Andrew (Veronica) Campbell of Avon, Sara (Nathan) Lowry of Macon, IL, Matthew (Lisa) Campbell of Wichita, KS, Amy (Brad) Kindred of Bloomfield; Carmen Dayhoff of Westfield, Kevin (Traci) Dayhoff of McCordsville, and Douglas (Miranda) Dayhoff of Bloomfield; seventeen great-grandchildren and one sister, Jane Bough of Lyons.

Lola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 73 years, Francis Dayhoff; sister, Iva Spurlin and brother, John Bovenschen.

Funeral services are scheduled for 12 Noon on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Homes, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Pastor Cliff Gano officiating. Lola will be laid to rest in Walker Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 Noon on Friday, at the funeral home.

The Dayhoff family would like to thank the caregivers for their loving care to their parents over the past 18 months. Thanks to Vera, Sherry, Tammy and Barb. A special thanks to Southern Care hospice for their help and advice.
