Linda McCracken

Linda Fay McCracken 65, of Bloomfield, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Greene County General Hospital. Born June 6, 1953 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Robert Dale and Wilma Mae (Schwarzhoff) Fields.

She was a homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, bird-watching, and reading. She was a devoted wife, and an amazing mother and grandmother. She also lovingly and selflessly dedicated time to caring for the needs of her sister, Pamela.

Surviving relatives include: her husband of 46 years, Jerry L. McCracken of Bloomfield; children, Douglas W. McCracken (Shonna) of Ellettsville and Jennifer J. McCracken (Christopher A. Phillips) of Indianapolis; her siblings, Daniel R. Fields of Lyons, Pamela A. Fields of Lyons and Dawn R. Payne of Junction City, Kansas; grandchildren, Jeremiah J. McCracken and Cora C. McCracken, and one more on the way (Jennifer and Christopher).

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons, with Rev. Mickey Hardy officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery in rural Lyons.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 1 hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Four Rivers Resource Services (Linton office) or Special Olympics - Greene County.
