Linda C. Schreiber, age 80, of Hernando Beach, FL, formerly of Columbus, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home at 11:50 pm on Saturday, March 6, 2021. She was born in Linton, Indiana on October 20, 1940, the daughter of Paul E Chapman & Evelyn (Bledsoe) Chapman Baize.

Linda was a Cum Laude graduate of Indiana University where she received her Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She taught first through third grade at Bartholmew County Consolidated School Corp from 1968-2000. She enjoyed traveling throughout the country by motorcycle with her husband and friends and enjoyed and any type of fishing. She was an active member of Garden City Christian Church until retiring to Florida in 2001.

She is survived by her daughter, Marlene (Matt) Ritzenthaler of Hernando Beach, FL; son, Charles E Schreiber IV of Santee, SC; sisters, Janice Armpriester of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mary Flater and Edna Ruth Garwood both of Linton; her adopted daughter, Beth (Jamie) Law of Columbus; four grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty three years, Charles E Schreiber III. Her brothers Jerry Chapman Paul Chapman Jr and Donald Wayne Baize Jr.

Private services will be observed by her family. She will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
