Lee Lester Baker

Lee Lester Baker, 84, of Bloomfield passed away Tuesday May 21, 2019 at his residence. Born April 30, 1935 in Greene County, Indiana the son of Willard “Dayton” and Georgia (Lester) Baker.

Lee was retired from GE in Linton, he read meters for REMC and mowed Antioch Church and Simpson Chapel Cemetery, he was a member of the Antioch Christian Church and the GE bowling and golf team.

Surviving relatives include his children, Lee Lester Baker, Jr. (Annette), Kathryn Lorraine Ferguson (Roy), Ruth Ann Baker, seven grandchildren, LaDonna Sue Rumple (Derrick), Miranda Dawn Walker (Jacob), Samantha Jo Thornton (Grant), David Lee Baker, Audrey Mae Ferguson, Courtney Loraine Thompson (Trevor) and Justin Lee Baker, his great grandchildren, Addison Thornton, Olivia Thompson, Brentley Rumple, Bailee Thornton, Harlie Rumple, Sophia Thompson, Chloe Thornton and one on the way.

Lee was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Sue Baker on December 14, 2007; his siblings, Mary Ann Baker, Kenny Baker and his parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday at the Antioch Christian Church and 10 A.M. Saturday until the hour of service at the Church.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the Antioch Christian Church with Rev. Arlen Pope and Rev. Jack Tolbert officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.

The family wishes any donations be made to the Antioch Christian Church in Lee’s name.
