Larry Jackson, age 81, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 9:30 pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Glenburn Home. He was born on February 11, 1939, the son of John Everett Jackson & Marjorie (Slaughter) Jackson.

Larry was a 1957 graduate of Linton Stockton High School. He retired from Citizens Gas after working there for over 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking, playing golf, bird watching and gardening. He also loved watching his grandchildren play sports and any other activities they were involved in.

He is survived by his daughter, Robin (Brad) Fulford of Linton; son, Steven B (Kristi) Jackson of Center Point; daughter-in-law, Ann Jackson Dunn (survivor of Brian L. Jackson); grandchildren, Jordan (Kristen) Jackson, Justin (Megan) Jackson, Cody Jackson, Jannae (Colton) Murray, Pierce (Tamryn) Jackson, Billy Jackson and Kyla Stantz as well as 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois Jackson, parents and son, Brian L. Jackson.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 am at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.

Per State of Indiana requirements, mask must be worn, social distancing will be practiced and only fifty (50) people will be allowed in the facility at any one time.

Memorial contributions may be made to either Linton Food Pantry or Civitan Toys for Tots through the funeral home.
