Lana D. Sperling, age 64, of Switz City, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2018, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born in Bedford on September 1, 1954, the daughter of Harold & Irene (Sowders) Padgett.

Lana loved her family and enjoyed crafting, cross stitch, and quilting.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years whom she married on November 18, 1978, Randy L. Sperling, her parents, one brother, Terry Padgett of Richmond, three children, April Griffith, Bill (Cassie) Griffith, and Amber (Jeff) Frye, four grandchildren, Shainia Helms, Sarah Tiefel, Morgan Frye, and Makayla Griffith, and one niece, Erica Lane. She also left behind her life-long friends, Terri Glosser & daughter Shama Damgar, and Jim & Debi Barnard.

Public Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 4:00 P.M. until the time of funeral service at 7:00 P.M.

A private burial will be held Friday at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
