Kathleen N. Pruett, age 72, of Linton, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family at 10:48 A.M. on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. She was born in Linton on May 15, 1950, the daughter of Billy B. & Barbara D. (Hoover) Ellis.

Kathy was a 1968 graduate of L & M High School and married Daniel E. Pruett on November 24, 1968. She was a homemaker, raising her three children, and later worked at Southside Express in Linton where she always had a smile and enjoyed visiting with the customers.

She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her husband; her mother; three children, Alicia (Andrew) Cooksey of Linton, Aaron (Jaime) Pruett of Linton, and Autumn (Dwayne) Peña of Palm Coast, Florida; seven grandchildren, Eli, Kailyn, Garrett, Leighten, Hannah, Vance, and Vaughn; two brothers, Bradley (Jan) Ellis and Brock Ellis; and a dear friend since childhood, Becky Stone.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral service will be held at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 21, 2022, with Floyd Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M.until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ketcham Memorial Center’s, Gardens of Ketcham, through the funeral home.
