Karen J. (Hamlin) LeCocq, 75, of Newberry entered Heaven's gates seeing Jesus face to face on Saturday, May 30 at her residence. Born January 15, 1945 in Greene County to John and Evelyn Hamlin.

Survived by her husband, Paris LeCocq Jr. Daughter, Marnie Coffey. Favorite "son" Jeff Coffey. Her favorite grandkids whom she loved first, Tori Coffey (Alex Reel) and Travis Coffey. Sister in law, Pat Hamlin. Brother Daniel Hamlin. Sister Lyndal (Andy) Weir. Many other family members whom she loved and treasured.

Karen loved her family and enjoyed attending all the family reunions. Karen was a talented artist, seamstress and enjoyed crafts. She loved to read books, magazines, etc. and watching home improvement shows. Karen was also an avid Elvis fan and was a member of the Harvest Community Church in Bloomfield.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Evelyn Hamlin. One brother, John David Hamlin. One sister, Brenda Bex.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Masks will be required at the visitation.

A graveside service will be held for the public at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery in Linton with Rev. Jeff Williams and Vance Hamlin officiating.
