Joyce Helen Barnes

Joyce Helen Barnes, 80, of Forest, Indiana formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at her residence in Forest.

Born August 7, 1945 in East Chicago, Indiana she was the daughter of Keith Levoy and Helen Ruth (Wlson) Walburn.

Joyce was a school teacher at Bloomfield Schools for 25 years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.

Surviving relatives include: her husband, Charles Philip Barnes whom she married August 24, 1968; her daughters, Stephanie Crittenden (Bud) and Julie Morgan (Jason); a step daughter, Kimberly Humburg (Bradley); seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Walburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 1 hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Indiana Parkinson Foundation.
