John E. "Choo Choo" Hugunin, age 67, of Linton, passed away at 3:49 am on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Linton, IN on November 5, 1953, the son of James H. & Genevia (Harp) Hugunin.

He was a graduate of North Daviess High School and Ivy Tech Community College. He began working at Crane as a Engineer Technician for over 35 years. He was a former member of Indiana A.B.A.T.E. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in ink and working on mechanical things around the house. He was such a kind and loving person who will be dearly missed by so many people.

John is survived by his loving daughter, Amy (Francis) Hopkins of Loogootee; grandchildren, Courtney, Charisa, Braden and Jilaine; siblings, James D. Hugunin of Indianapolis, Martha Jane Bowers of Linton, Kelly Hugunin of Clayton and Allen D. Hugunin of Bradenton, FL; loyal fur companion, Tilly; aunts, Mae Stuffle of Loogootee and Helen Boling of Bloomfield as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Teresa Ann Rasico and Patricia Hugunin; son, John Wesley Hugunin; brother, David Hugunin and nephews, Terrence Hugunin and Mark Hugunin.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Monday, November 23, 2020 with Larry Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the North Daviess High School FFA Chapter through the funeral home.
