Joetta A. (Allen) Axe, age 78 passed away January 4th, 2019 at 0834. She was born on February 17, 1940 in Bloomfield, Indiana to Elmer and Ruth Allen.

She attended Bloomfield High School and graduated in 1958.

Joetta married Harold Axe on June 14, 1959. Together they had three children Lisa, Risa Lynn, and Lori.
Joetta’s greatest joy in life was her family. She especially loved watching her grandchildren play sports. She attended every cross-country meet, softball game, basketball game, and tennis match. She also enjoyed attending church, playing card games, and watching IU basketball and the Indiana Pacers.

She is survived by her sister Marg (Jack) Hughey, three daughters Lisa (Gary) Driver, Risa Lynn (Jack) Johnson, and Lori Sparks, five grandchildren Alnee (Ryan) Gadberry, Anika (Matt) Steves, Zev (Abby) Hamm, Holden Hamm, and MaLee Sparks, and six great grandchildren Taegan, Addyson, Breckin, Graeme, Easten, and Oaklynn. She is preceded in death by the husband Harold, parents Elmer and Ruth Allen, brother Elmer Allen Jr., and son-in-law Roger Sparks.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday January 14, and 10 A.M. Tuesday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.
