Joe Anna Henderson

Joe Anna (Joe) Henderson passed away Wednesday March 2, 2022 at Parkview Village Christian Care in Odon, Indiana. Joe Anna was born in Newberry, Indiana to the late Clarence and Naomi (Fish) Rollins.

She graduated from Switz City High School in 1955 and entered into marriage with Robert L. Henderson on the 23rd of December in 1955 at Walnut Grove Church and was married for 66 years.

She was a member of the Faith Christian Church in Bloomfield, Joe worked at the Cardinal Inn and Pielemier Drugs in Bloomfield, RCA in Bloomington, Sam Reece Trucking (hauling mail to local towns), GE in Linton and Aline Mayflower in Bloomington, what she enjoyed most was being with her grand and great grandchildren, they were the joy of her life. She also enjoyed doing ceramics and worked for a short time at Happiness Is Ceramics in Bloomfield. She traveled with her three sisters to Florida which she talked about with such joy.

Joe is survived by her husband Robert L. Henderson of Bloomfield, children, Cheryl Stinebaugh of Worthington, Pamela (Robert J.) Summerville of Bloomfield and Robert J. Henderson of Spencer. Grandchildren, Jeremy Stinebaugh, Seth Stinebaugh, Sarah Stinebaugh, R. Joseph Summerville, Samuel Summerville, Brittany (Jacob) McKinney, Tyler (Jessica) Henderson, Nicolas Henderson and thirteen great-grandchildren. Brothers Larry Rollins, Darrell (Mary Ann) Rollins, George (Christine) Rollins, sisters, Rosemary Hatfield, Betty (Warren) Mishler, Dorothy (Bernard) Harkin as well as oodles of nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by her parents and brother Eugene Rollins.

Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the hour of service on Saturday at the Faith Christian Church, 2188 W. State Road 54, Bloomfield, Indiana 47424.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. at the Faith Christian Church in Bloomfield with Rev. James Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
