Jody Cordell, age 46, of Linton, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Ansonia, Ohio on November 5, 1975, the son of David and Pearl (Chavis) Cordell.

Jody enjoyed skating during his younger years, playing pool and throwing darts, riding his bike and motorcycle, remote control cars, his tattoos, and was talented at engraving glass and giving tattoos. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

He is survived by his mother, Pearl Cordell of Linton; his two daughters, Kourtney Cordell of Jasonville and Kelsey Cordell of Linton; his grandchildren, Jaylen Callison, Elijah Lamar, and Maizee Lamar; his siblings, Marlene, Debra Logan, Samantha Bruggeman, Jim Cordell, Jeff Cordell, David Cordell, and Kenny (Shannon) Cordell; and his life-partner, Heidi Auberry.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Cordell; and two brothers, Mark Cordell and James David Cordell.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 11 A.M. until the time of service at 1 P.M. Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery.
