Joan Neihart Myers Vaughn, 90, of Bloomfield, passed away at home with her family by her side on October 6, 2025 at 2:17 a.m.

Born on March 31,1935 to Clarence and Naomi (Defrees) Neihart.

She married Stanley Richard (Dick) Vaughn January 1, 1955, he passed away on September 11, 2010.

They have three children, Mike Vaughn (deceased) Rick Vaughn of Bloomfield Fiancé Sandy Mejean, Kellee Bogdon (Rob Bogdon) of Bedford; five grandchildren, Dustin Vaughn, Nicole Vaughn, Skyler Pittman (Emily Pittman), Ryan Pittman and Amanda Vaughn Hughes (Seth Hughes). Great Grandchildren, Charlie Cardinal, Calleigh Hughes, Caragh Hughes, Meredith Pittman; Two Brothers, Larry Neihart, deceased, John Neihart of Martinsville. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

She was a member of the Bloomfield First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the Bloomfield First Baptist Church, with Rev. Nathan Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday at the Bloomfield First Baptist Church.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Bloomfield Baptist Church.
