Jo Ann Sprinkle Haines, 78, formally of Linton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Oak Village Health Care Center in Oaktown, surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born on March 26, 1947, in Sullivan, Indiana, the daughter of Ralph and Wilma (Baker) Sprinkle.

Jo Ann dedicated her career to serving others as a social worker and drug counselor. Outside of work, she loved sewing, playing cards, camping, and singing. She was apart of a gospel trio called the Sprinkle Sisters.

She was also a devoted member of the Linton First Christin Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Merry LeDune (Dusty), Lynn Rowe, and Rebecca Sutherlen (Bobby Patrick); grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sutherlen (Corey), Brandon Sutherlen (Summer), Ethan Sutherlen, Jakeb Rowe, Westin LeDune, and Marley LeDune; great-granddaughter, Annalise Sutherlen; and sisters, Susan (Warren) Shake and Rita (Joe) Burgess; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Sprinkle.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Connie Haines; and her brother, Mike Sprinkle.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, with Pastor Warren Shake officiating.

Burial will follow at Hickory Cemetery in Sullivan County.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
