Jerry Moss, age 78, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 1:30 am on Sunday, December 22, 2019, at Southwood Healthcare in Terre Haute. He was born in Linton, IN on October 1, 1941, the son of the late Kenneth Moss & Anna (Bedwell) Johnson.

He was a 1962 graduate of Pleasantville High School. He was a coal miner for many years and retired in April of 2008. He enjoyed going to horse pulls and spending time at Dinky's Auction.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Carolyn (Shouse) Moss of Linton; children, Cassandra (Joshua) Gwaltney of Sandborn, Chad (Maryann) Moss of Linton, Marty Moss of Nashville, TN, Jeff (Tammy) Suthard of Linton, Marti House of Linton and Lori (Forrest) Parker of LaVergne, TN; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; beloved dog, Buster and siblings, Dixie Dailey of Linton, James Johnson of LaPorte, Tony Johnson of LaPorte and Tom Johnson of LaPorte.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Renee Addison.

Funeral service will be held 7:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Thursday, December 26, 2019.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Greene County Humane Society through the funeral home.
