Jenissa Reed, age 67, of Linton, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2018, at her Residence. She was born in Linton on December 8, 1950, the daughter of David Richards and Marilyn (Bernie) Robison Richards Racop.

Jenissa was a graduate of Linton Stockton High School in 1969. She began working as a teacher at Dugger Elementary School in 1998 after earning her Bachelor's degree at Indiana State University. She was a member of the Linton First Christian Church when she was growing up.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 49 years, Jerry Reed of Linton; mother, Marilyn (Bernie) Robison Richards Racop; daughters, Jerisa (Nick) Yingling of Linton, and Chatalaine Reed of Vincennes; granddaughters, Maci Reed, Graci Sellers, Molli Sellers and Ella Kayte Yingling on the way; brothers, Tony (Debbie Williams) Richards of Linton and Scott (Sue) Richards of Linton and nephew Derick Richards of Linton.

Jenissa is preceded in death by her father, David Richards.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Thursday, May 3, 2018, with her cousin, Dick Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 pm.
