Jay D. Moore, age 52 of Linton, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Linton on October 10, 1968, the son of Wayne J. & Ruth (Burns) Moore.

Jay was a 1986 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School, and graduated from RETS College in Louisville, Kentucky. He worked at Sony in Terre Haute for 26 years, and currently worked at Clabber Girl in Terre Haute as a Maintenance Supervisor.

Jay enjoyed bowling, working on anything mechanical, and Pittsburgh Steeler football.

He is survived by his wife whom he married Sept. 14, 1996, Christi L. (Burris) Moore, two sons, Jaspar & Caleb Moore, his sister, Debbie Moore-Thrasher, his nephew, Kevin Moore, and a great-nephew and great-niece, Peyton and Ariana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Sherrill and Larry Moore, a sister-in-law, Jana Moore, three nephews, Jeremiah, Levi, and Jordan Moore, and his father-in-law, Tom Camden.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 1, 2021. Burial will follow at Morris Chapel Cemetery in Greene-Sullivan State Forrest.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 P.M., and Friday from 10 A.M. until the time of service.
