Janice Hope (Williams) Skeel, 95, Worthington, passed away Monday, October 14, at the Westminster Village nursing home in Terre Haute. She was born September 11, 1929, in Freedom, she was the daughter of Heaton and Mina (Abrell) Williams.

A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and community member, Janice was a member of the Spencer First Christian Church, where she participated in social events and community service ministries, including preparing and serving meals for grieving families.

A 1947 graduate of Freedom High School, she was also a member of Theta Tau Chapter of Delta Theta Tau sorority, where for a time she served as chapter president.

Survivors include her children Marcus and Ryan Skeel, grandchildren Jaime Coleman, Gary, and Amber Skeel, great grandchildren Duran Coleman, Adelynn ("Addie") and Elie Skeel, a niece Deanna (Williams) Heckman, and a nephew, David Skeel.

At her request, graveside services will be held Saturday, October 19 at 11am, at the Worthington Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in her name to the church or charity of your choice.
