Janet Sue (Steward) Cooper, 86, of Indianapolis passed away December 03, 2020. Janet was born November 16, 1934 in Worthington, IN to Don and Louise (Leavitt) Steward.

Janet enjoyed working throughout her life at employers like the Indianapolis Boys and Girls Club, Indiana Bell, KPMG, Daytona Community College and others where she made friends everywhere she went.

Janet is survived by her son Brian (Jodi) Cook and her grandchildren, Jennifer Ward and Braden (Brittney) Cook and her great grandchildren, Christian Ward and Roman Cook.

Even though Janet had a small immediate family, she had a very large extended family. She always looked forward to family reunions like the camp outs at McCormick’s Creek and all the action during the month of May in Indy. Relatives always showed up for either qualifications and/or the race and she was quite the hostess with plenty of food for all.

Janet would have loved for her funeral to be a time for her extended family to gather to celebrate her life and for friends and relatives to catch up and enjoy one another. But she understood the times we are in and wouldn’t want to put anyone in harms way. Therefore, a LIVE STREAM Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. on December 11, 2020, at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway Funeral Center via the internet.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Boys and Girls Club of Indianapolis.
