Jane (Schantz) Shepherd, 74, of Lyons passed away Saturday January 12, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Born November 4, 1947 in Linton, Indiana the daughter of Robert E. and Dola (Russell) Schantz.

Jane worked as a merchandiser for Anderson, she was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include her children, Basil W. Shepherd III (Jennifer), Tiffany A. Jackson (Noel); she has four grandchildren, Owen Shepherd, Lucy Shepherd, Milea Heath, Noel Jackson and one sister Brenda (John) Dean.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband Basil Woodrow Shepherd; Jr. on August 26, 2017 and her parents.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday January 21, 2022 at Prairie Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Rose Sparks officiating.

The family asks that any memorial donations in Jane’s name be given to; Breast Cancer Research, Kidney foundation or American Heart Association.

The family would like anybody attending the graveside to ware a mask.
