James "Jim" Haseman

James “Jim” Haseman, age 83, of Linton, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, in Indianapolis with his family by his side. He was born in Linton, IN on July 20, 1938, the son of Joseph H. & Beatrice (Steward) Haseman.

He was a 1956 Linton High School graduate and attended Indiana State University where he graduated with a Master’s degree in teaching.

Jim met and married the love of his life, Jewelledean Ann Haseman on November 23, 1962. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960. He retired after 29 years of serving as a science teacher at Linton Stockton High School. He was a member of BPO Elks and was a past Exulted Ruler. He was also a member of the Switz City Masonic Lodge and Saron United Church of Christ in Linton.

He is survived by his daughter, Janelyn (Michael) Kulik of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Catherine (Scott) Johnson; grandson, Christopher Kulik; brother Joseph H. (Sandy) Haseman II; sister, Ann Martin of Corydon as well as several nieces and nephews..

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jewelledean Ann Haseman and nephew, Dr. Joseph H. Haseman III.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home on Friday, December 10, 2021 with Pastor Jeff Fulk officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
