Jack L. Williams Sr.

Jack L. Williams Sr., 79, of Linton, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on November 3rd, 2024.

Born on September 20th, 1945 in Linton, he was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, great grandfather and a faithful servant of God.

Jack was a resident of Muncie, IN and Daleville, IN before returning to Linton. He was a man who was known for his kindness, integrity, and unwavering faith.

He was preceded in death by his with Marsha (Fulford) of 50 years. By his mother Josephine (Winfrey) Bock, stepfather Robert Bock, sister Kelly Padget, and son in law Phil Reynolds.

He leaves behind his beloved children who were his pride and joy: Laura Reynolds of Linton, Robert (Terri) of Anderson, IN, Jack Jr. (Jay) of Flower Mound, TX. He was a proud grandfather to 5 grandchildren, Phillip (Joanie) Reynolds, John (Abby) Reynolds, Jesse (Baliegh) Williams, Shannon (Jeff) Tortora, and Shon (Heather) Delawter as well as 19 great grandchildren each of whom he loved deeply and prayed for daily. Jack is also survived by many close friends whom he considered to also be a part of his family.

Jack was a man of faith, and a source of spiritual encouragement to many who witnessed his walk with the Lord. His faith was the foundation of his life, guiding his decisions and inspiring his acts of love and service to others. His love for God was reflected in his daily life, as he shared the message of hope and grace with everyone he encountered.

Jack worked for Marsh Supermarkets for many years and was respected by his colleagues for his hard work and dedication. He will be remembered for his love of family, his unwavering faith, and the quiet strength he showed through life’s challenges. Jack’s legacy is one of love, faith, and steadfast devotion to God. While his family and friends mourn his passing, they take comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of his Savior, free from pain and rejoicing in eternal life.

A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home Friday, November 8, 2024 at 1:00PM with Rev. Shawn Farris officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until 1:00PM Friday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Faith Community Church, as Jack would have wanted to continue helping others even in his absence.

Jack L. Williams Sr. will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. “Well done, good and faithful servant … enter into the joy of your Lord.” (Matthew 25:21)
