Ivan Ernest Workman, 89, of Lyons, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at his residence. He was born December 20, 1931 in Greene County, Indiana. He was the son of Ernest and Elizabeth (Foddrill) Workman.

He graduated from Solsberry High School in 1949 and shortly after joined the Air Force, retiring in 1970. He served two years in Southeast Asia, where he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He had over 2,000 hours of flying time.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Phyllis Workman; children, Harold Workman, Eva Milligan, Cindy Nash and David Flores-Workman; step children, Jack L. Bays and Cynthia Byarley; brothers, Paul Workman, Jerry Workman, Kenneth Workman and Glen Workman; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six- great grandchildren and ten great, great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis and Gary Workman, his brothers, Bernard, Dewey, Vernon and Robert Workman and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Worthington Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
