IRIS M. FLATER, 74, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 6:13 A.M. Tuesday, August 29, 2023 in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.

She was born April 7, 1949 in Bicknell, IN to Charles Simpson and Juanita (Willis) Simpson.

Iris married Terry Flater on May 1, 1965, he passed away on January 31, 2006.

Survivors include “Her Guy”, Pude Keller of Jasonville, IN; her children, Rhonda Berry of Crestview, FL, Bob Flater (Traci) of Patoka, IN; grandchildren, Austin Berry (Victoria), Alycia Berry (Daniel Prosser); great-grandchildren, Savara, Shawe, Iain, Harper, Roger; sister, Randy Greene (Joe) of Ponte-Verda, FL; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Sheila Overton; brother, Ronald Simpson.

Iris had worked at Charles Industries in Jasonville. She enjoyed hanging out with Pude and cleaning her house.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 P.M. Friday, September 1, 2023 with a Firefighters Auxiliary Memorial Service at 7 P.M. and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 1 P.M. Saturday, September 2, 2023 with Pastor Darren Sluder officiating.

Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Iris to Firefighters Auxiliary. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
