Hildred B. Sullivan, age 82, of Linton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 4, 2019, at Greene County General Hospital. She was born in Linton on July 5, 1936, the daughter of the late Osman & Lola (Rarder) Carpenter.

She loved going and cheering on her grandchildren in their sports they played. 

Hildred is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Chris) Sharp of Linton; son, Rick (Rhonda) Sullivan of Linton; grandchildren, Chandra (Corey) Breneman of Linton, Ryan (Jodi) Sullivan of Linton, Josh (Tasha) Sullivan of Linton, great-great-grandchild, Bracey Breneman, Gage Sullivan, Audrey Sullivan, Aria Sullivan and Londyn Sullivan and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Sullivan, brothers Tommy Carpenter, Vernon Carpenter, Elvin Carpenter; sister, Nona Hoops, Mary Walton and Violet Tincher.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, with Tony Gouckenour and Archie Ellett officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 pm and Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
