Hedwig Houchin, age 83, of Linton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Opperkofen, Germany on February 20, 1937, the daughter of Michael & Maria Riedl.

She was a homemaker for most of her life and she loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her property to make sure it always looked nice for people to admire. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and always helped with keeping the church clean.

Hedwig is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia (Criss) Robison of Linton, IN, grandsons, A.J. Robison (Amber Lewis) and Kyle Robison as well as Amber's son, Lukas; sisters, Sofie Liebl, Anny Weiss and Ida Furchner all of Germany as well as sisters-in-law, Maggie Corn of Lyons and Daisey Bixler of Bloomfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Houchin; parents and sister, Maria Riedl.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Friday, September 25, 2020 from 11:00am - 1:00pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice through the funeral home.
