Harold Wright, age 87, of Linton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2020, at Glenburn Home. He was born in Linton, IN on July 5, 1932, the son of Pierce K. Wright & Cecile (Carpenter) Wright.

He was a 1950 graduate of Marco High School and worked for Ladson Wholesale before answering the call to serve his country. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Korean War and was a First Sergeant. Harold spent 16 months in Korea and when he came home he married Emily Lynn Wright in 1955. 

Harold then went on to start his own company of sporting goods manufacturer's sales representatives, operating in a six state territory.

Harold and Emily moved from Linton to Bloomington in 1976 where they stayed until 1986 and then moved to Indianapolis. They then went from Indianapolis to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida until 1994 when Emily was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer so they came back to Indianapolis where Emily fought a tough battle but unfortunately lost her battle in 2001.

In 2010, Harold married Gloria (Beck) Wright and she preceded him in death on June 26, 2017.

Harold was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #560, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Zorah Shrine, Elks BPOE #446 in Bloomington and the American Legion Post #22 in Linton.

He is survived by his sons, Marc W. Wright of Linton, Brad W. Wright of Noblesville, Paul E. Wright of Greenwood, Steve L. Wright of Carmel and Jeff A. Wright of Bloomington; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a sister, June A. Reeves.

Harold is preceded in death by two brothers, Wendell R. Wright and Paul K. Wright and two sisters.

Private visitation will be observed by the family and his service will be webcast at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 13, 2020, with Pastor Ben Biggs officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
