Goldie J. Lucas

Goldie J. Lucas, age 88, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 1:50 am on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Sandborn on December 30, 1935, the daughter of William and Joy Wagner.

Goldie was a homemaker, caregiver, and co-owned Bill & Goldie''s Meat Market in Linton until their retirement. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Linton. Goldie loved working with flowers in her yard, working crossword puzzles, and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters, Darlene (Brent) Callision of Linton and Penny (Tim) Parr of Sullivan; her brother, William Wagner of Edinburgh; six grandchildren, Heather (Danny) Wright, Heidi Auberry, Beth (Rob) Pasero, Brad Parr, Brittany Parr, and Travis Ellis; nine great-grandchildren, Kegan Wright, Colton Wright, Micheal Auberry, Kelsey Chambers, Kaitlin Hobbs, Kaden Pasero, Kale Pasero, Marshal Ellis, and Kade Burns; four great-great grandchild, Annabell Chambers, Aubrey Hobbs, Arbor-Rose Hobbs, and Jalyen Callison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William "Bill" C. Lucas; a daughter, Pamela Lucas; an infant son, Timothy Lee Lucas; a grandson, Jason Burns; four sisters, Lola Mallot, Jean Lucas, Helen Cooper, Ercil Burris; two bothers, David Wagner, and Carl Wagner.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11:00 am on Monday, September 16, 2024, with Pastors Jeff Fulk and Ron Haynes officiating. Burial will follow at Marco Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 - 6 pm, and on Monday from 10 am until the time of service.
