Gilbert Floyd Pigg Sr., 83, of Cass, Indiana went to be with Jesus Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jericho, IN September 18, 1937 the son of Ruel Pigg and Hazel Elizabeth Broshears Pigg.

Gilbert was a bus driver and custodian at the Southwest School Corp. He was a member of the Samaria Pentecostal Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley Pigg in 2012, three brothers, Raymond, Richard and Norman Pigg, a daughter, Tonya Pigg, a daughter in-law, Marie Deni Pigg and a sister, Rena May Pigg.

Survivors include, three sons, Gilbert Pigg Jr of Dugger, IN, Rick Pigg (Tammy) of Linton, IN, Joe Pigg (Sara) of Dugger, IN, two daughters, Teresa Starkey (Mike) of Dugger, IN, and Kim Hux (Rollie) of Dugger, IN, one sister, Mary Kay Pittman of Indianapolis, IN , ten grandchildren; Michele Sandusky (Mark) , Mica Felker (Richard), Johna Schaefer (Thomas), Tanna Jo Reed, Dusty Pigg (Brandi), Brody Pigg (Ashley), Krystol Johnson (Mat), Jalen Pigg, Taylor Nachreiner (Jacob), Adalyn Figg and seventeen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN with Rev. Gary Shaw officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Friday, Burial in the Dugger Cemetery.
