Gavin Resler

Gavin Resler, 13, of Bloomfield passed away Monday May 27, 2019. Born September 1, 2005 in Bloomington, Indiana the son of Lowell Eugene Resler III “JR” and Amber Dawn Orman.

Gavin was a student at Bloomfield Junior/Senior High School. He was on the middle school basketball and baseball team. Gavin had many passions with his love for music being the greatest. He was believed to have an old soul due to his love of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s and vinyl records. Gavin loved searching for records that were rare, as well as, learning the history behind the music and the band. He was so excited to be a big brother. Gavin loved spending time with and helping his little brother Harley learn new things. Gavin touched so many people’s lives as he was an intelligent, very respectful young man that always had a smile on his face, and full of positivity.

Surviving relatives include his mother, Amber Orman, his father JR Resler, brother, Harley Resler, stepmom, Alissa Lee, his grandmothers, Nancy Orman, & Kim Wade, grandfathers, Edward Orman & Rick Wade all of Bloomfield. Two Aunts, Misti Hays of Loogootee, Makalah Orman of Evansville, best friend Jordan Sims.

Gavin was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Penny Burch, Ruby Ferree, Myra Taylor, Great grandfather, Donald Orman and uncle Gary Orman.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 P.M. Monday and 1 P.M. Tuesday until the time of service. Services will all be at the Tulip Church of God in Bloomfield.

Services for Gavin will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Tulip Church of God in Bloomfield with Rev. Jeff Rockey officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.

The family would like donations made to the Bloomfield Basketball Program, Bloomfield Baseball Program or Bloomfield Music Program in Gavin’s name.
