Faye Maxine Kramer

Faye Maxine Kramer, age 102, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 2:40 am on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Glenburn Home in Linton. She was born on a Sunday morning about church time, December 7, 1919, near Bloomfield, Indiana, the daughter of William “Will” & Margaret “Maggie” (Lowder) Loffland.

Having attended grade schools in two room school houses, she then graduated from Switz City Central High School in 1937.

Early on, while living in Indianapolis from 1940 through June of 1947, she worked at the Indiana State Teacher’s Association. She has been a homemaker and also worked with the local food and nutrition program for Purdue University. She was a member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority, had been a member of the Mary Rebekah’s Lodge and Moose Lodge.

Having attended from 1952, in 1957 she placed her membership in Saron United Church of Christ and was active in the women’s fellowship and study of the Scriptures. She always talked about the love and fellowship of her church family. She treasured all the time she had to study God’s Word and share it with others.

Her daughter and other family members have been blessed by and take great comfort in Faye’s faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She is survived and will be missed by her loving daughter, Margaret (from her marriage to Herschel Steele) (Cletus) Cook; grandson, Gary (Kim) Cook; great grandchildren, Nathan (Sabrina) Cook, Tyler Cook, Emma Cook, Jacob Cook and Kaitlyn Fayth Cook; great great granddaughters, Elizabeth Cynthia Cook and Samantha Ann Cook as well as several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Kramer and brothers, Orval and Russell Loffland.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Monday, September 19, 2022 with Pastor Jeff Fulk officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Ministry of Saron United Church of Christ.
