Edith Arlene Noel, age 82, of Linton, formerly of Lyons, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Glenburn Home. She was born in Bicknell on June 5, 1937, the daughter of the late Harry & Emma (Courter) Scott.

She was a 1956 graduate of Lyons High School. She was a member of the Lyons First United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post 479 Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, spending time with friends and family at the river and was also a dog lover.

Arlene is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Walter Noel of Linton; daughters, Amber (Greg) Thomas of Bloomfield and Renee (Jan) Bauer of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) Delaunois, Chase (Emily) Bauer, Cooper (Jessica) Bauer, Taylor Bauer, Rachel Thomas, Morgan (Michael) Wagler and Devon Thomas; great grandchildren, Colton Delaunois, Kellen Delaunois, Greyson Delaunois, Paxton Delaunois, Reaghan Hash, Thaddeus Wainman, Brooklyn Wagler, Cali Perkins and Bristol Wagler and her sister, Louise Baker.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, John Scott and Lewis Scott.

A celebration of Arlene's life will be held at 2:00 pm at the Lyons First United Methodist Church on Saturday, January, 11, 2020.

Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time of service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington.
