Dwight Hauser

Dwight L. Hauser, age 94, of Coal City, Indiana in Owen County passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Meadowood Health Pavilion in Bloomington. He was born in Coal City on March 7, 1925, son of the late Selma Dayhuff Hauser and William Henry Harrison Hauser. 

Dwight served as a Chief Petty Officer in United States Navy for 20 years as an aircraft mechanic. After he retired from the Navy he went on to continue to travel the world and retired after another 20 years from Westinghouse Electric Corporation.

Dwight is preceded in death by his wife, Anita Jean Loos Hauser and his daughters, Deborah McEnery and Suzanne Hauser. 

He is survived by his wife, Sally Vance of Spencer; son-in-law, Liam McEnery of Linton; step-daughters, Sandra Mann, Karen Vance and Susan Downs; granddaughter, Tanya Wheeler of Lake Stevens, WA; great-grandson Jeffrey Rickard of Lake Stevens, WA and sister, Marjorie Hauser Main of Indianapolis.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home & Crematory in Worthington on Saturday, February 29, 2020 with Pastor Drew Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Switz City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
