Dustin Frederick Slaven

Dustin Frederick Slaven, 44, of Bloomfield, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at his residence. Born March 21, 1976 in Vincennes, he was the son of Garry Clyde Frederick and Pam Jane (Slaven) Wininger.

He was self employed as a appliance repairman. He attended Concord General Baptist Church and was a member of the International Order of Wobblin Possums and served on the Linton Youth Softball League Board.

Surviving relatives include: his loving wife, Angela (Kirkley) Slaven whom he was with for 17 years and married October 10, 2010; three children, Destiny, Serenity and Harmony Slaven; his mother, Pam Slaven-Wininger, brothers, Chris Frederick (Amanda and family) and Tyler Frederick; sister, Jamie Frederick and family; mother-in-law, Jeanie Kirkley; sister-in-laws, Crystal Hodge (Donovan) and Sierra Kirkley; and nieces and nephews, Jasper, Nevah, Kara and Noah Hodge.

He was preceded in death by his father, Garry Frederick, grandparents, Richard and Ruth Slaven and Mary and Robert Frederick, father-in-law, Leroy Kirkley and a daughter, Melody Slaven.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Craig Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Calvertville Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 1 hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Due to the Covid-19 Virus, a maximum of 50 people will be allowed in the funeral home at any one time and masks (face Coverings) will be required.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Jenkins Funeral Home to help defray the cost of final expenses.
