Dorothy F. Lawson, age 67, of Linton, passed away at 10:16 am on Monday, February 24, 2020, at Oak Village Nursing Home. She was born in Indianapolis on November 16, 1952, the daughter of Lloyd V. & Ivory M. (Dixon) Lawson.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, being one of the leaders in raising numerous funds. She was the recipient of "The Angel" funds while ringing the bell in Bloomington. She also enjoyed fishing, gospel music, birds, and spending time with her dogs.

She was a member of Switz City Full Gospel Church.

She is survived by her companion of seventeen years, Gene Prulhiere of Linton, her two sons, Frank (Teresa) Littlejohn of Linton and Virgil Michael of Henryville, her sisters, Martha Hawkins, Debbie Beck, Marilyn Kidwell, grandchildren, Kaci Lutz, Trevor Littlejohn, Jenna Littlejohn, and Devin Littlejohn, two great-grandchildren, Clark and Nolan, and one due Thursday, February 27, and Gene's children, Paul (Christie) and Brian (Tiffany) Prulhiere.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Ryan Littlejohn, sisters, Mayme Baker, Ruth Hicks, and Mildred Peaslee, and brothers, Donnie Arthur, Virgil Lawson, Glen Lawson, Bill Lawson, and Merle Lawson.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11 A.M. on Monday, March 2, 2020, Pastor Vernon Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-5 P.M. and Monday from 10 A.M. until the time of service.
