Doris Louise Barlich

Doris Louise Barlich was born in Linton, Indiana on September 17, 1933, to John and Clythe French. She married Frank Barlich on April 3, 1954, and they enjoyed 47 years of marriage until his death in 2001. After his retirement, Doris and Frank enjoyed traveling and took many group tours together.

Doris was a devoted wife and mother who always made family her first priority. She was a member of Speedway Baptist Church for over 50 years; teaching Sunday School, VBS, and volunteering in numerous other ways.

Doris enjoyed quilting with her sister Beverly Lutes, cross-stitching, and making hats for the homeless. She was a cat lover and cared deeply for her cat, Minnie. When Minnie developed diabetes at age 10, Doris faithfully gave her insulin shots twice a day for the next 10 years of Minnie's life.

Doris is survived by her daughters: Jane (Bill) Clark and Patty (Mark) Callahan; grandchildren: Billy (Heidi) Clark and Stephanie (Evan) Fox; great grandchildren: Liam and Ensley Clark and Emily Fox; as well as a niece, Debra Lutes; and nephews: Gary (Connie) Lutes and John (Dianna) Lutes. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Barlich; sister, Beverly (Larry) Lutes; and brother-in-law, Andrew Barlich.

A graveside celebration of life will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Indiana on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 3 p.m.
