Doris A. Huffman

Doris A. Huffman, 84, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side, on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Autumn Trace in Linton. She was born on June 5, 1934 in Linton to Frank L. and Anna R. (Perkins) Moody. She married Jack L. Huffman on November 22, 1972.

Doris was a member of the Linton First Baptist Church and a life member of the American Legion Post #22 Ladies’ Auxiliary. She worked as an X-Ray Technician at Greene County General Hospital, retiring with 30 years of service.

Family left to cherish the memory of Doris includes: one son, Jack O. (Debbie) Huffman of Florence, SC; daughter, Lisa (Bill) Arnold of Bowling Green, KY; five grandchildren, Heather (Jeremy), Ashley, Shane (Liv), Jared and Justin (Emily); six great-grandchildren, Darien (Drew), Camryn, Amelia, Henry, Nora and Emmalynn; two great-great-grandchildren, Owen and Evelyn; one sister, Norma (Frank) Miller of Linton and several nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Jack L. Huffman; two sisters, Ruth D. Hubble and Mary Louise Maddison; nephew, Steven Ray Hunter.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Pastor David Tyra officiating. Doris will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, May 17 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, at the funeral home. A memorial service provided by the American Legion Post #22 Ladies’ Auxiliary will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
