Donald Richard "Dick" Steele, age 84, of Lyons, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. He was born in Linton, IN on January 1, 1940, the son of Guy & Ruth (Lehman) Steele.

He was a graduate of L&M High School. He was a farmer throughout his life and enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and running nets in the river with his best friend, Dr. Bill Powers in his spare time. He was a member of Lyons Assembly of God.

Dick is survived by his loving children, Beth (Doug) McMillin of Plainfield, Steve (Tammie) Steele of Lyons and Daniel (Lori) Steele of Linton; grandchildren, Zachary (Julie) McBride, Aaron (Victoria) McMillin, Rachel (Aaron) Delp, Nathaniel Steele, Megan (Josh) Steele-Holdaway, Erica (Caleb) Stuppy-Hopwood and Caleb (Natalie) Steele; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Loretta (Paul) Johnson and sister-in-law, Nedra Steele.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Janet (Mullis) Steele and Marilyn (Gillespie) Steele as well as his brother, Jack Steele.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon at Breath of Life Church in Linton on Saturday, June 15, 2024 with Pastor Ron Parker officiating.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 pm, and on Saturday at the church from 11:00 am until the time of service.
