Donald “Paco” Wayne Howell
Donald “Paco” Wayne Howell, 69, of Linton, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on June 10, 1953, in Vincennes, Indiana the son of Rebert Howell Sr. and Kathy Wibert.
Paco graduated from North Knox High School and Louisville College with a degree in Electronics. He owned and operated Don’s Electronic for 20 plus years and was the bartender at the Linton BPO Elks Post 866 for over 40 years before retiring last summer. Paco was an avid sports fan. He loved the New York Yankees, Indianapolis Colts, IU and Jeff Gordon. He was a member of the Bloomfield Sons of The American Legion Post 196, Linton Moose Post 1434 and Linton Elks Post 866. He loved spending time with his family and friends and knew how to have a good time.
Paco is preceded in death by his father and brother, Rebert Howell Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Kathy Wibert (Jerry) of Henderson, Kentucky, two daughters; Olivia Johnson (Jay Miller) of Linton, Indiana and Sundae Mortland (Jeff) of Linton, Indiana, two sons; Ryan Howell (Christina Bennett) of Sullivan, Indiana and Brock Howell (Stephenie) of Linton, Indiana, fiancé, Linda Mccullough, sisters; Rosalee Keller (Gib) of Macy, Indiana, Stacey Howell (Jeff Williams) of Henderson, Kentucky, Amy Kindred of Florida, brothers; Bruce Howell (Mary) of Vincennes, Indiana and Nicholas Kindred (Sharon) of Merritt Island, Florida, grandchildren; Frankee, Dillion and Brayden Hancock, Dreyk Howell, Kyann Kaiser, Kaden Robison, Gavin, Easton and Abbegail Howell and several great-grandchildren. Paco is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless number of friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Indiana with Trent Wilkes officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Indiana. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, February 13, 2023 and 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Indiana.
