Dixie Ann Dailey, age 77, of Linton, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at 4:00 pm on Friday, August 27, 2021. She was born in Linton on November 23, 1943, the daughter of Kenneth Moss & Anna (Bedwell) Johnson.

She was a member of Saron United Church of Christ. She worked at G.E. for many years and retired from 4-Rivers in 2009. She enjoyed needlepoint, painting and crocheting.

Dixie is survived by her loving sons, Tracy Houchin of Linton and Troy (Valeri) Houchin of Linton; brothers, James, Tom and Tony Johnson all of LaPorte, IN; grandchildren, Jodi (Tyler) Mayfield of Brazil and Jesse Houchin of Evansville; great grandchildren, TJ Mayfield, Kennedi Mayfield and Graesyn Mayfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jerry Houchin; second husband, Tom Dailey, Sr. and brother, Jerry Moss.

A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Linton at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 with Tim Ferree officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
