Deloris Maxine (Grounds) Aydelotte

Deloris was born in Clinton, Indiana on June 4, 1929 to Harvey and Helen (Floyd) Grounds.

She graduated from Linton Stockton High in 1947. She then went to Stephens College at Columbia, Missouri and graduated in 1949. She graduated from Indiana State University in 1951. In 1951 she married Bill Aydelotte and then started her teaching career. She was a teacher at Union High School in Dugger, Indiana.

 She was a Tri Kappa member and loved playing bridge, riding horses, swimming and helping students learn. She always wanted the students to be the best person they could be. Some of you remember her as one of the beauties on the “You’ll Like Linton” postcard.

 Deloris was preceded in death by her parents; Helen and Harvey Grounds, her husband Bill Aydelotte and recently her son, Jim Aydelotte.

 She is survived by: her son and daughter-in-Law Rob and Charolette Aydelotte,   daughter -in-law Susan Bachelle and our dear family member Faye Wills.

 There will be a private family graveside service at Prairie Chapel Cemetery with Bro. J.B. Smith officiating.

 Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
