David L. Handley, 77, of Greencastle, IN, formerly of Jasonville, IN, passed away at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in Waters of Greencastle in Greencastle, IN. He was born August 13, 1943 in Ypsilanti, MI to Forest EugeneHandley and Ann Louise (Zeps) Handley.

Survivors include his sister and brother in-law, Sue Girard (Ray) of Rocky Hill, CT; his niece and nephew Terry Handley (Cathy) of Jasonville and his nephews Todd Handley of Terre Haue, IN, Timothy Handley (Dee) and his great–nephews and nieces and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Forest Eugene Handley in 1999, his mother, Anne Zeps Handley in 2010, his brother Keith Handley 2007, and his sister-in-law Wanda Handley 2000.

David attended Jasonville High School until his senior year and them he graduated Phoenix Union High School Class of 1961. He received an Associates Degree from Phoenix College in 1963, Bachelor’s Degree and then a Masters Degree from Indiana State University.Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army from Ft. Lewis Washington in 1969 after serving in Vietnam and the Korean War He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Linton, IN.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at K of P Cemetery at Hymera, IN with Pastor Mike Rotman and Bill Joe Ansorge officiating.
