David  Elliott, age 76, of Linton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at home surrounded by his family. He was born at home near Marco, Indiana on January 1, 1944, the son of  Laina & Sarah Marie (Owen) Elliott.

He was a graduate of L&M High School. He worked as an insurance agent for most of his life until he retired around 5 years ago. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. He enjoyed his muscle cars and drag racing, working around the house on the property and being outside. He loved spending time with his family and cherished the time he spent with his customers. He was such a people person and really enjoyed talking to each and every customer he served.

David is survived by loving wife of 57 years, Patricia Sue Elliott of Linton; sons, Greg (Katie) Elliott of Linton and Mark (Stacy) Elliott of Linton; daughter, Carole Elliott of Newburgh; grandchildren, Meghan (Scott) McKisson, Mallarie (Jason) Taft, Audrey Elliott, Erin Elliott, Laine Elliott, Mercy Elliott, Peyton Sparks, Aspen Sparks and Brittyn Sparks; great grandchildren, Drake McKisson, Claire McKisson, Baylor Taft, Daxon Taft and Tessa Taft on the way as well as his brother, Donald (Norma) Elliott and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jimmie Elliott and sister, Nila June Hall.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, private services will be observed by the family at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton. Burial will be at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Baptist Church through the funeral home.
