Danny "Denver Dan" Carpenter, age 62, of Spencer, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019, in Limon, Colorado. He was born in Spencer on May 26, 1957, the son of the late Francis "Gene" Eugene Carpenter & Mildred (Adkins) Carpenter.

He worked as a truck driver for Truck Parts Unlimited for almost 40 years. He loved hunting, fishing and tractors.

Dan is survived by his loving sister, Cindy (Bowling) Carpenter of Spencer; nieces and nephews, Sara Beckley, Julie Freeman, LeeAnn (Nolan) Billiot, Alan (Teresa) Phillips; several great nieces, nephews, aunts, numerous cousins and very close friends, Mike (Kathy) Trimble, Amanda Trimble and her daughter Ellie.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Melinda (Rick) Freeman and grandparents, Pastor Raymond and Ruth Adkins.

A graveside service will be held at Gross Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 19, 2019, with Brother Jimmie Durnil and Brother Todd Durnil officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital.
